Tim Bondy Physical Therapy Home Care Division consists of in-home rehabilitation services for individuals throughout northern Michigan. Our therapists bring essential rehabilitation services to where they are most needed. We provide physical and occupational therapy services in the comfort of your home.
By delivering our services in the patient's home environment, individuals benefit from an immersion in the physical rehabilitation experience and a faster and more complete recovery. For some of our patients, in-home rehabilitation is the only realistic option, especially when transportation, fatigue or other barriers prevent attendance at traditional outpatient clinic-based therapy.
Our referral sources include local physicians who are looking for a way for their mobility-restricted patients to benefit from therapy without having to travel. Others are referred by community agencies that serve those that are "homebound" such as Northwest Michigan Community Health Agency and District Health Department #4. In addition, some individuals are referred when attending an outpatient clinic would cause an increase in pain or fatigue and would make this impractical.
Home rehabilitation, however, is also available to other types of individuals within the community. Some people might not be "homebound", but rather have difficulty arranging transportation on a regular basis with friends and family to attend outpatient therapy. Another might prefer not to drive during the winter months. These individuals may still qualify for services in the home under Medicare part B. As a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facility or "CORF," Tim Bondy Physical Therapy Home Care Division can provide services at any of its outpatient locations as well as in a patient’s home.
